Watchlist & Favorites Management Guide
Learn how to curate a personalized stock watchlist, organize your favorite tickers with drag-and-drop reordering, and receive real-time signal change notifications.
⭐ 8.1 Adding and Removing Stocks
Managing your favorites in Market Forecaster is instantaneous:
From Any Stock Card on Dashboard
Simply tap the Star (⭐) icon located on the right side of any stock card. The star will illuminate gold, indicating the stock has been added to your watchlist.
From the Stock Detail Screen
Tap the star icon in the top right corner of the Top App Bar on any stock's detail page.
From the Search Bar
Search any US stock by ticker or name and tap the star icon directly in the search dropdown results.
📑 8.2 Dedicated Favorites Tab
Tapping the Favorites tab on the Dashboard displays an isolated view containing strictly your starred tickers. This screen features:
- Synchronized Live Metrics: Live prices, signal badges, Target Tracker percentages, and AI forecast returns for all your tracked stocks in one place.
- Drag-and-Drop Reordering: Press and hold any card to drag it up or down to customize your personal watchlist hierarchy.
- Quick Swipe-to-Remove: Swipe a card left to instantly remove it from your favorites list.
📂 8.3 Drawer Watchlist Quick Preview
You can also access your watchlist from anywhere in the app by swiping from the left edge of the screen or tapping the Hamburger Menu (☰). The Navigation Drawer displays a compact watchlist widget with real-time price changes.
☁️ Auto-Synced to Google Drive
Your watchlist is stored in local Room SQLite storage and automatically encrypted and backed up to your personal Google Drive AppData container. When you upgrade phones or log in on a second Android device, your entire watchlist restores automatically!
